Notes

  • Postgraduate students who are presenting a paper at the event are not required to pay registration rate fees, and should not register via the steps below.  Instead they should complete the registration from here (MS Form) by 31 May (The PG speaker fee waiver includes accommodation on nights of Friday 03 and Saturday 04 June only.  If accommodation for any additional nights is required this should be made at own arrangement (and cost) via reservations@ed.ac.uk (cost: approx. £115-£130 per night B&B).
  • Other postgraduate students who wish to attend can take advantage of a limited number of reduced fee places (see ‘Rate 1(s)’, ‘Rate 2 (s)’, etc.  Other PGs should follow the registration steps for All other delegates.) 
  • All other delegates must complete step 1 (delegate details) and step 2 (payment) to register for the event.
    • Registration for the annual conference is a two step process — step 1 (provide delegate details below), step 2 (complete payment).
  • All registration must be completed by 11.59pm (GMT+01:00) Sunday 31 May 2026.

Important

    • If you are making a registration on behalf of someone else, please provide the delegate’s full name and contact details (including email) in the delegate details section, and then add your own details in the appropriate section further below.
    • Please complete only one shopping cart per delegate.
    • Please indicate any diet or disability requirements
    • Registration rate 1 includes accommodation on the nights of Friday 03 July and Saturday 04 July. 
    • If you require accommodation for any additional nights please contact reservations@ed.ac.uk (cost for additional nights is approx. £115-£130 per night B&B – please confirm with reservations team).  Please also note that the venue will not have delegate information before 15 June.  Therefore, if you are making a booking for additional nights it would be advisable to contact the venue w/c 15 June to ensure they link up your additional nights with the conference booking reservations.  This should ensure that you keep the same room throughout your stay.

Membership of the Society is open to anyone interested in our aims, whether or not you hold a philosophical qualification or are employed as a professional philosopher.

Membership includes online access to the Journal of Applied Philosophy, as well as a reduced fee for the Society’s annual conference.   Members can also apply for event funding through the Society’s grant scheme.
